HOLIDAY, Fla. (WFLA) — The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation Friday night after a man was reportedly injured in a shooting.

The incident was reported around 9 p.m. in the area of Canosa Drive in Holiday.

According to the sheriff’s office, two men got into a fight, during which one of them was shot.

The injured man was taken to a hospital to be treated. There was no further word on his condition Friday night.

Deputies said the suspect was detained, but did not say whether charges will be filed.

The adult men are believed to have known each other prior to the incident, and the sheriff’s office said there was no further threat to the public.
