TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Hurricane Rafael is expected to turn toward the west and slow down in the Gulf of Mexico on Thursday, the National Hurricane Center said.
Rafael is located about 260 miles west-northwest of Havana Cuba.
Its maximum sustained winds are 105.
According to the NHC, Rafael is expected to move away from western Cuba over the southeastern Gulf of Mexico this morning, and continue to move over the southern Gulf of Mexico for the next few days.
