TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Temperatures climbed quickly into the mid-upper 80s this afternoon. That’s well above average for this time of year.

There is a tiny chance of a few isolated sprinkles during the day today. The rain chance increases to 30% on Saturday. Humidity will be slightly higher, and a few more passing showers are possible.

We should be drier on Sunday, but highs remain in the mid-upper 80s.

Only a few spotty afternoon showers are possible at the beginning of next week, but we could see a few more downpours by the middle of the week.

Those rain chances may go up or down depending on how the tropical wave in the Caribbean develops and where it heads. Most of the models take it into the Gulf of Mexico next week, but exactly where it will head is still uncertain. We will keep an eye on it, but it’s likely to be a weak system.
