TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – It feels warm and humid for early November today with highs in the mid-upper 80s. Expect a constant breeze as well.

A few quick, passing showers are possible this afternoon, and there should be slightly more late-day showers tomorrow.

Our best rain chances are Wednesday and Thursday as a tropical system heads into the Gulf of Mexico. It will likely become Tropical Storm Rafael, and it may even reach Category 1 hurricane strength.

The forecast keeps the system west of our coastline, but it should still bring tropical downpours at times.

Rainfall amounts may reach 1-2 inches across the area with locally heavier spots.

Behind the system, it will still be warmer than average. Highs stay in the mid 80s
