TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — We woke up to showers and wet roadways, but most of the day was dry, mild, and cloudy as the rain cleared relatively quickly. The cold air behind the rain settles in overnight, leading to a chilly start in the 50s on Thursday morning.
Despite abundant sunshine, temperatures only warm into the upper 60s Thursday afternoon and it will be windy.
High temperatures will be in the 60s Friday and Saturday afternoon as well, with morning low temperatures in the 40s and 50s through the weekend.
No rain is in the forecast after today but a gradual warming trend will begin Sunday with the 80s returning by the middle of next week.
The tropics remain quiet with no new activity through next week.
