TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Events and parks to close across Tampa Bay in preparation for Hurricane Milton.

ZooTampa at Lowry Park

ZooTampa will be closed from Tuesday, Oct. 8 through Thursday, Oct. 10 ahead of Hurricane Milton.

To ensure the safety of the animals and team members, ZooTampa will close on Tuesday as a precaution as conditions warrant.

The Florida Aquarium

Due to the potential impacts of Hurricane Milton, The Florida Aquarium will be closed on Tuesday, Oct. 8 through Thursday, Oct. 10.

The Florida Aquarium plans to reopen on Friday. Oct. 11.

Tampa Bay Lightning

The Tampa Bay Lightning canceled their game against the Nashville Predators on Monday, Oct. 7.

The game was rescheduled from Sept. 27 due to the effects of Hurricane Helene.
