TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — All major bridges in Tampa Bay have reopened after Hurricane Helene.

All lanes of the Gandy Bridge and the Courtney Campbell Causeway have also reopened, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Both the northbound and southbound lanes of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge reopened Friday, along with both lanes of the John Ringling Causeway in Sarasota.

Drivers were asked to find alternate routes if they needed to travel as officials urged civilians to stay off the highways unless “absolutely necessary.”.

As of 11 a.m., Davis Island bridges are open for tall vehicles only. No small cars will be allowed through due to flooding.
