TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Tampa Bay Rowdies have a chance to make history.

On Sunday, Nov. 10, the Rowdies travel to South Carolina to face Charleston Battery for the USL Eastern Conference Semifinals.

“You spend the whole year, you’re working towards us getting many points on the board and putting yourself in a great position to finish strong but once you get here you start to realize like all right every game could be our last,” said Tampa Bay Rowdies forward Cal Jennings.

The Rowdies are aiming to win their first-ever USL Championship title.

The club has qualified for the playoffs six straight seasons, even reaching the USL Championship final as back-to-back Eastern Conference champions in 2020 and 2021.

“I really think special players, especially experienced players, do kind of know how to switch on a little bit more when it comes to playoffs,” said Tampa Bay Rowdies goalie Jordan Farr.

The team has already come so far, battling through adversity with back-to-back hurricanes.

Goalie Jordan Farr had five saves and two penalty stops in the match against Indy and says it’s brought them closer together.

“We’ve become a family through it. I like the word resilient. We had a lot of difficult things to overcome and we just stayed true to the course and we are trying to continue to stay true to the course,” said Farr.
