TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have bolstered their ailing secondary by claiming Mike Edwards off of waivers from the Tennessee Titans, the team announced Thursday.

Edwards, who won a Super Bowl with the team during the 2020 season, was the Buccaneers’ third-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and appeared in 58 games for the Bucs between 2019 and 2022, including 23 starts with the team.

Edwards signed with the Kansas City Chiefs during the 2023 offseason and won a Super Bowl with the Chiefs that year. Edwards signed with the Buffalo Bills this year before being released and then briefly signing with the Titans.

During his career, Edwards has appeared in 78 games, making 233 tackles (nine for loss), 26 passes defensed, eight interceptions (three returned for touchdowns), five fumble recoveries, four quarterback hits, 3.0 sacks and one forced fumble.

To make room for Edwards on the 53-man roster, the Buccaneers released cornerback Keenan Isaac.
