NOKOMIS, Fla. (WFLA) — The Florida Lottery announced a Sarasota County man has won a $1 million prize from the “$20 GOLD RUSH LIMITED” Scratch-Off game.
The Lottery said Matthew Maio, 41, of Nokomis, claimed his winnings as a one-time payment of $795,000.
The scratch-off game launched in September 2021 and features 32 prizes of $5 million and 100 prizes of $1 million.
The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.65.
Maio purchased his winning ticket from Osprey BP. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus for the sale.
