LAKELAND, Fla. (WFLA) — A man’s body was found floating in a neighborhood retention pond in unincorporated Lakeland on Sunday morning, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the death occurred in the Chelsea Oaks subdivision. The incident was called in by residents.

Officials said the man died as a result of a medical episode.

No further information will be provided from the sheriff’s office.
