WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (WFLA) — A crash that led to a downed power pole caused traffic delays Friday morning in Winter Haven.

According to the police department, the power pole was hit and fell into the roadway, following a crash on Highway 17 at Mirror Court.

Hwy 17 from Avenue M NW at Halendale Boulevard is currently shut down.

The intersections of Hwy 17 at Havendale Boulevard and MLK Jr. Boulevard, and Hwy 17 at Mirror Terrace, and 1st Street North and MLK Jr. Boulevard are without traffic signals.

Officials have deployed generators to run the signals, but drivers are asked to remain cautious when passing through.

The driver who struck the power pole was not injured during the crash.
