ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — A shooting in St. Petersburg left one person in the hospital on Wednesday night, the St. Pete Police Department said.

The shooting occurred around 8:10 p.m. in the parking lot near 2901 Tyrone Boulevard across the street from Buffalo Wild Wings.

Police said there was an altercation at a vehicle involving the victim, who was described as a “young man.”

The manager of the restaurant told WFLA’s Marilyn Parker he was outside when he heard two gunshots. 15 minutes later, he saw police.

The victim was taken to a local hospital but their condition is currently unknown. The shooter is on the scene with officers, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing.
