PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A man who brought stuffed animals and morning after pills for a 13-year-old girl he was meeting for sex was sentenced to 30 years, according to the Department of Justice.

Tyler Colton Rock, 26, of Texas, will spend the next 30 years in federal prison, followed by a lifetime of supervised release for coercing a teenager into sexual intercourse and sending her explicit content.

Officials said Rock first developed a relationship online with a 13-year-old girl from Pinellas County when he was 25.

He had the girl send explicit photos of herself, as he sent her several photos and videos of himself pleasuring himself, the DOJ said.

When planning a trip out to Florida to visit her, he said it would “be the best trip ever or he would end up in federal prison, but he was excited.”

Rock made the trip to Florida in February 2023 to engage in sexual intercourse with the child.

The DOJ said he brought a bag filled with condoms, morning after pills, and stuffed animals. Rock also provided the girl with marijuana before engaging in sexual acts with her.

Rock entered a guilty plea on March 1. This case was investigated by the FBI.
