TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — AT&T donated $300,000 to assist communities affected by Hurricane Helene.
Various organizations AT&T donated to are:
- Florida Disaster Fund — $50,000
- Second Harvest of South Georgia — $25,000
- Golden Harvest Food Bank — $25,000
- NC Disaster Relief Fund, United Way of North Carolina — $100,000
- One SC Fund, Central Carolina Community Foundation — $50,000
- United Way of Tennessee Highlands — $50,000
“In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, AT&T’s heart goes out to the affected communities,” said Vanessa Harrison, President of the Southeast Coastal States, AT&T.
AT&T has also announced the launch of an employee match gift program, where they will match 100% of employee charitable contributions to The Red Cross.
“We have thousands of team members across Helene’s path working to restore services in the communities where we live and work, and we are proud to support and work alongside these community organizations as they rebuild,” Harrison said.
According to AT&T, an Emergency Relief Fund has been activated for employees facing hardship. This fund helps employees with food, clothing, shelter, and other necessities.
