TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Tampa police arrested a man on Tuesday in connection with a shooting that occurred at the Silver Oaks Apartments on Patsy Court.
According to the Tampa Police Department, officers responded to a call around 9:10 a.m. reporting someone had been shot.
At the scene, they discovered a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he remains in stable condition, the department said.
A release stated that upon further investigation, officers learned that an argument broke out between suspect Joshua Thomas, 22, and the victim, during which Thomas grabbed the firearm and shot him multiple times.

“While officers were rendering first aid to the victim, Thomas ran up to the victim and said he shouldn’t have made him ‘do it,'” the TPD release said.
Thomas was immediately arrested and taken to Orient Road Jail.
He was charged with attempted murder in the second degree with a firearm and aggravated battery.
