HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — The new Hillsborough County Schools calendar changes will impact middle and high school students.

Students will see longer classes and less time off.

Middle and high school credit classes will each be two minutes longer during the second semester.

Bell schedules could be impacted. The district said they’ll email parents with any updates the week of Dec. 2.

The County’s west side will still have Feb. 14 off for the Florida State Fair Day.

The County’s east side will have off for the Strawberry Festival on March 3rd.

This comes after Hurricane Helene canceled three days of class, and then Hurricane Milton disrupted eight school days.

Students will now have the option to take exams at the end of the fall semester due to missing class because of the storms.
