TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Residents impacted by Hurricane Milton can get assistance with FEMA applications at Copeland Park.
The City of Tampa is assisting residents without internet or needing support with the FEMA application.
Copeland Park, located at 11001 North 15th Street will open Oct. 22 to residents needing assistance. The City of Tampa will assist residents from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. daily.
“It has been heartwarming to witness the strength of our community in the face of Hurricane Milton,” said Mayor Jane Castor. “While FEMA decisions are made solely by FEMA, the City of Tampa is here to help out residents navigate the application process and ensure everyone has access to the resources they need to recover.”
Residents will need to bring the following information:
- Address of your damaged home or apartment
- Names of people living in your household
- Description of your disaster damages
- Insurance information
- Social Security number
- Telephone number where you can be reached or a message can be left
- Bank account information
- Email address
According to the City of Tampa, no FEMA representatives will be at Copeland Park. Computer access and general assistance will be provided by The City of Tampa.
