TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Part of N. Florida Avenue is shut down in Tampa while police investigate a fatal shooting.

Officers were called to the 7700 block of N. Florida Avenue at around 3:45 p.m. for a reported shooting.

Officers found a man with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the site of the shooting.

N. Florida Avenue is closed between E. Hanlon Street and E. Kirby Street while officers investigate what led up to the shooting.
