TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A body was found off the Courtney Campbell Causeway Tuesday morning, according to the Tampa Police Department.

Officers responded to a call before 10 a.m. regarding an unresponsive person. There, they located the body of a male individual, with no obvious signs of trauma.

Police are working to identify the person, who is described as “an adult Hispanic male, believed to be in his early-to-mid 30s.”

This is the second body to be found in the area this week. Sunday, officers said a teenage boy was found in the waters off the causeway with no signs of trauma.

However, the Tampa Police Department said the two deaths appeared to be unrelated and will be investigated separately.

Officers are working to identify both victims, but at this time, there are no signs of foul play. A medical examiner has yet to determine the cause of death.
