64-year-old seriously injured in Hillsborough hit-and-run crash

RUSKIN, Fla. (WFLA) — A 64-year-old man was seriously injured during a hit-and-run Tuesday night, Florida Highway Patrol announced Thursday.

Just before 6:30 p.m., the victim was walking east on SR-674 east of 4th Street when a black Dodge Ram pickup tried to pass another vehicle and hit the pedestrian.


The man was then pushed into the path of the second vehicle, a Cadillac XTS, and was struck a second time, FHP said.

The man was airlifted to a local hospital with serious injuries and the driver of the black Dodge Ram fled the scene.

FHP said the surveillance videos above captured images of the truck and the driver.
