HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — According to new rankings from the U.S. News & World Report, 16 Hillsborough County middle and high schools were recognized for being among the top 100 in Florida.
Overall, the report looked at 71,434 elementary, and middle schools, measuring mathematics and reading proficiency and performance.
In the Elementary School category, the report ranked the following Hillsborough schools:
- #28. McKitrick Elementary School
- #31. Bevis Elementary School
- #39. Bryant Elementary School
- #41. Grady Elementary School
- #78. Roosevelt Elementary School
- #79. Mitchell Elementary School
- #96. Clark Elementary School
- #97. Fishhawk Elementary School

- #20. Lutz Preparatory School

- #89. Martinez Middle School
