STUART, Fla. (WFLA) — A trio of thieves are still on the loose after they stole a small business owner’s wallet, and went on a shopping spree around town, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

Three women entered Treasure Coast Family Vendors in Stuart and told the owner they wanted to check out a table in the far corner of the shop.

While two of the women led the owner to the corner of the store, one thief broke away, walked behind the counter, took the victim’s wallet out of her purse, and left.

The thieves also decided to top off their day of theft with a meal from KFC, the sheriff’s office said.

According to deputies, charges on the victim’s credit cards show purchases including a large pack of toilet paper from Home Depot, alcohol from Fine Wine, electronics purchased from Staples, and several gift cards.

The business owner was able to cancel the cards following the trio’s shopping spree.

The trio were caught on surveillance camera, wearing what appeared to be medical scrubs and carrying the various items of goods they purchased with the stolen credit card.

One of the suspects also wore a sun visor that read, “I love Jesus.”

Anyone who can identify these women is asked to contact the Martin County Sheriff’s Office at 772-220-7000.
