ST. CLOUD, Fla. (WFLA) — A man is being accused of shooting and killing his fiancé early Sunday morning.

According to NBC affiliate WESH, 57-year-old Timothy Hyder shot and killed his soon-to-be wife, Natalie Du’Mee, on the back patio of a St. Cloud home.

Just before 1 a.m., St. Cloud police responded to the home on Western Sun Drive to find the woman dead.

WESH reported the shooting stemmed from an argument and that police had found a handgun in plain sight on the kitchen counter.

“Our hearts go out to the victim and her loved ones during this unimaginably difficult time,” St. Cloud Police Chief Douglas Goerke said. “If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, there are resources to support you. Reach out to a trusted friend, family member, or a local domestic violence hotline. You are not alone.”

Hyder was arrested on a second-degree murder charge, according to WESH.
