FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) — The iconic Lani Kai Island Resort on Fort Myers Beach is open for bookings again over two years after Hurricane Ian devastated the island.

Rooms are available to book now, the resort wrote in a social media post on Tuesday.

The resort said they had to replace everything from the drywall to the wiring, plumbing, flooring, ceilings and furniture.

“We can’t wait to welcome you back and show you all we’ve been working on this last two-plus-years of rebuilding,” the social media post said. “Thank you for all the love and support, we couldn’t have done all this without you!”

The resort is offering special introductory rates as part of the reopening.
