MIAMI, Fla. (WFLA) — A Miami woman was arrested for stabbing a man in his chest with a pocket knife on Friday, according to an affidavit.
A witness told officials that the incident began when 22-year-old Veronica See and the victim got into a verbal argument. See grabbed the man by his shirt, leading to the victim grabbing See’s wrist and pushing her off of him.
That’s when See pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed him in the right upper chest area, the affidavit said.
The victim was able to run inside the home, where he told the witness, “I feel wet.”
The witness told Miami-Dade police that they helped the victim remove his shirt, as he continued to bleed profusely and began to lose consciousness. Local fire rescue airlifted the man for treatment.
Police later located See hiding in bushes near SW 266th and SW 139th Avenue, in south Miami.
When she provided a sworn statement to detectives, she claimed self-defense since the man grabbed him.
See was taken to a Miami jail on a charge of attempted felony murder.
