TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Florida emergency officials are offering travel trailers for residents whose homes were damaged by Hurricane Helene.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced hundreds of trailers were made available last week after the powerful Category 4 storm impacted Florida’s Gulf Coast.

“We are bringing our first round of travel trailers for people to live in while repairs are being made on their homes,” DeSantis said during a news conference in Pasco County.

DeSantis said hundreds of trailers were available and officials are working to provide more.

Residents can apply for a travel trailer by calling the Florida Hope Line at 1-833-GET-HOPE. The Hope Line directs those affected by the storm to the resources they need to recover.
