TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Florida will fly flags at half-staff tomorrow to honor officers with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office who were killed in a car crash in November, Governor Ron DeSantis announced Monday.

On Thursday, Nov. 21, Corporal Luis Paez, Deputy Sheriff Ralph Waller, and Deputy Sheriff Ignacio Diaz were hit by the SUV while stopped on the shoulder of Southern Boulevard in Loxahatchee.

Paez and Waller were pronounced dead at the scene, while Diaz passed away on Monday, Nov. 25 due to injuries sustained in the crash.

DeSantis said he initially directed flags to be flown at half-staff to honor Paez and Waller but has now amended the order to include Diaz.

Flags will be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Tuesday to honor the trio.
