TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Flags will be flown at half-staff on Friday to honor the sailors who lost their lives in the Naval Air Station terrorist attack that took place in 2019.

On Dec. 6, 2019, Saudi Arabian Air Force officer, Hohammed Alshamrani, entered the Pensacola Naval station and opened fire, killing the three men.

Gov. Ron DeSantis ordered that flags be flown at half-staff at all local and state buildings in remembrance of Kaleb Watson, 23, Cameron Walters, 21, and Mohammed Haitham, 19.

Haitham, a St. Pete native, was killed only 10 days before his 20th birthday.
