TAMPA BAY HEART WALK | Saturday, November 16
TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Get ready for an unforgettable Tampa Bay Heart Walk this Saturday, Nov. 16! News Channel 8 is proud to stand strong against heart disease and stroke, with a mission to raise $50,000.
This year, we’re celebrating a monumental milestone—the American Heart Association’s 100th Birthday! To commemorate this special occasion, the Heart Walk will take participants on a unique journey through the field level of Raymond James Stadium, located at 4201 N Dale Mabry Hwy. This may be your only chance to take a selfie from the field. The event kicks off at 7:30 a.m., with the Walk starting at 9 a.m.
“As someone whose family has been deeply impacted by heart disease, being a spokeswoman for the Tampa Bay Heart Walk is incredibly meaningful to me. I wholeheartedly invite you to join my team or make a contribution – every dollar plays a vital role in saving lives,” says News Channel 8 Anchor, Stacie Schaible.
Our goal for this year’s Tampa Bay Heart Walk is an ambitious $3 million. By joining the Walk, you’re not just participating in an event; you’re making a difference in the fight for longer, healthier lives. Every step you take helps fund critical research, train more people in lifesaving CPR, and drive medical breakthroughs. Together, we can create a world where everyone has the opportunity for a healthier future. (Register for the Walk here)
Remember, every walker who joins, and every dollar donated, brings us closer to a world free from heart disease and stroke. Let’s make this Centennial Celebration one to remember!
