TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Tuesday is Election Day, the final day Floridians can cast their ballots to determine their choice for the U.S. president and other races.
With early voting over in nearly all counties in the state of Florida, over 8 million people have cast their ballots already for the 2024 general election, according to the Florida Division of Elections.
While you could vote at any early voting location established by your county, in-person voting for Election Day will require you to go to your assigned precinct once polls open at 7 a.m.
To find your local precinct, you can go to your local supervisor of elections website, which has a page where your can input your address to learn where you are supposed to vote.

When do polls close?
Polls close at 7 p.m., local time, in the state of Florida. If you were in line by 7 p.m., you can still cast a ballot.
What if I still have my mail-in ballot?
If you have not sent back your mail-in ballot, you can still bring it in person by leaving it at the secure drop boxes in the supervisors of elections offices.
What do I bring to the polling site?
To vote in person, you have to be a registered voter in the state of Florida. The deadline to register was 29 days before the election.
Voters must bring a current photo ID to the polling site to be able to vote. These can include:
- Florida driver’s license
- Florida identification card issued by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles
- United States passport
- Debit or credit card
- Military identification
- Student identification
- Retirement center identification
- Neighborhood association identification
- Public assistance identification
- Veteran health identification card issued by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs
- License to carry a concealed weapon or firearm issued pursuant to s. 790.06
- Employee identification card issued by any branch, department, agency, or entity of the Federal Government, the state, a county, or a municipality.
If challenged at the polling site, you can still vote through a provisional ballot. More information on how the process works can be found at the Division of Elections website.
