TAMPA (BLOOM) – ABC President and CEO, Steve Cona III, Business Development of Baker Concrete, Richard Backa, and Marketing Manager of DeLotto, Lauryn Ortiz join Gayle Guyardo , the host of the nationally syndicated health and wellness show Bloom to talk about hurricane relief for the construction industry workforce.
The ABC Cares Foundation raised over $200K for construction workers impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. In the wake of two back-to-back hurricanes, the resilience of Florida’s Gulf Coast is being tested, not just by the storms but by the rebuilding effort that follows.
To address the urgent needs of these critical community members, the ABC Cares Foundation, the charitable arm of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) East Coast Chapter, has swiftly mobilized to raise over $200,000 for “Red-Tape Free Relief.” This initiative aims to offer immediate, hassle-free financial support to construction professionals and their families facing substantial losses due to the hurricanes.
While the foundation primarily supports construction professionals through various initiatives, this specific relief effort highlights the critical role construction workers play in crisis recovery. With many of them experiencing damage to their own homes and property, this fund represents a direct response to their immediate needs, enabling them to remain in the area and continue the recovery work.
