SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) — It has been a busy day for Yoder’s of Pinecraft in Sarasota as customers have been picking up orders the day before Thanksgiving.
Every year, a line of people can be seen outside the business waiting for the pies they have ordered.
A few homemade pie options include pecan pie, apple pie, peanut butter pie, and pumpkin cream pie.
“It’s just the love that they put in their pies, there’s something about it,” customer Miranda Worcester said. “The taste, the care that goes into it, I know that kind of sounds crazy to say when it comes to pie, but I’ve never had anything like it and I won’t ever miss a holiday.”
The pies at Yoder’s have been made from scratch for nearly 50 years.
According to staff, there were about 7,000 pie orders made.
“It’s amazing. it’s a God send because I think the community is helping us. A lot of flood victims, I was a flood victim, the community around here was a flood victim, it’s just everybody coming together it’s normalcy,” Manager Brian Emrich said.
Yoder’s will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
You can begin to place your pie orders for the Christmas holiday starting on Dec. 1.
