TAMPA (BLOOM) – On the cusp of being an empty nester, Sharri Cagle with the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation became an adoptive parent to four beautiful children.
Cagle joins Gayle Guyardo, the host of the global health and wellness show, Bloom, to share her incredible journey. Collin, her son, filled out foster care paperwork on their behalf, which got Sharri and her husband thinking about fostering and adoption.
Florida is the second largest state for kids in the foster system. Burdened by the broken system, Sharri and her family felt a tug on their hearts to help. Their beautiful family of five has now grown to nine.
One of the ways you can help is by donating to a foster closet near you, “a dedicated space where foster families can access free clothing, toys, furniture, and other essential items for the children they are caring for.”
