BLOOM (TAMPA) – Gregory Jones, the president and founder of CUP Inc. (Coffee Uniting People), joined Gayle Guyardo on the global health and wellness show Bloom, alongside Stephanie Williams, the General Manager of CUP Inc., and employee Emily Ramos, to share the inspiring mission behind his nonprofit coffee shop. CUP Inc. is more than a coffeehouse—it’s a movement centered on inclusion, employing individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities while fostering a workplace where people of all abilities thrive together.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, CUP stands apart by creating meaningful employment opportunities that not only empower its employees but also bring the community closer together. “Our mission is about much more than serving coffee,” Jones explained. “It’s about creating an environment where everyone feels valued and included.”

A Positive Ripple Effect

During the interview, Jones reflected on the profound impact CUP has had on the families of employees and the broader Tampa Bay community. “Parents have shared how meaningful it is to see their loved ones contributing and gaining independence,” Jones said. “The support we’ve received from the community has been overwhelming—it’s a reminder of the good that can come when we work together.”

Beyond the workplace, CUP Inc. has become a beacon of hope and a source of inspiration, proving that inclusive employment practices can transform lives and create a sense of belonging.

Brewing a Bright Future

Looking ahead, CUP has ambitious plans to expand its impact. The organization aims to open additional locations across Tampa Bay and beyond, spreading its message of inclusion far and wide. “We’re just getting started,” Jones shared. “Our goal is to inspire other businesses to embrace inclusion as a way of life, creating a world where everyone has an opportunity to shine.”
