Kaycee Sloan joined the WFLA digital team in October 2022 as a Digital Content Producer.
She previously worked at our NBC affiliate station WLWT in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she worked as a Digital Editor, covering all things breaking news and sports, including the Cincinnati Bengals trip to the 2022 Super Bowl.
The Springfield, Ohio native graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Electronic Media and Broadcasting. She is also pursuing a Master’s degree in Digital Strategy from the University of Florida. Go Gators!
Since working at WFLA, Kaycee has worked breaking news stories, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2023-24 playoff games, covered the 2024 Gasparilla parade from the station’s float, reviewed Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Billy Joel and Sting’s concerts at Raymond James Stadium as well as the opening of Disney World’s long-awaited ride “Tiana’s Bayou.”
Being born a Buckeye has also left her no choice but to support the Ohio State Buckeyes football team and now the UF Gators. Since living in Tampa, she has become a Tampa Bay Lightning and Bucs fan, although she still roots for the Bengals (different conference).
Outside of work, you can find Kaycee reading, listening to music, or watching movies and sports.
