ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — A new lion pride strolls through the savanna at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Thursday ahead of the launch of the live-action film, Mufasa: The Lion King.
As part of Disney’s “Protect the Pride” conservation campaign to promote wildlife conservation, three lions join the Harambe Wildlife Reserve to entertain guests on the Kilimanjaro Safaris.
This campaign supports the Wildlife Conservation Network’s Lion Recovery Fund and its partners who are working to double the number of lions across Africa by 2050.
The new additions, siblings Mshango, Zahara, and Neema, can be found roaming the kopjes rocks at Walt Disney’s World Resort.
