TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — SpaceX successfully launched a rocket from Florida’s Space Coast Sunday afternoon for its TD7 mission.

The rocket took off shortly after 5:20 p.m. from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center.

It was the 16th flight for the Falcon 9 first stage booster, which previously supported multiple missions to the International Space Station and nine Starlink missions.

After stage separation, the booster could be seen landing on the A Shortfall of SpaceX’s Gravitas drone ship, which was stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

The payload, or cargo, flying on the mission — which, in this case, was a satellite — then headed into a geosynchronous transfer orbit.

A live webcast of the mission showed most of the trip, lasting just under 10 minutes.
