TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — After four months of trying to get back nearly $12,000 for his small congregation at Holy Spirit Old Catholic Church, Bishop Steven Rosezewski can breathe a sigh of relief.
One call to Better Call Behnken, and hours later, the money was returned.
“Having that experience of being heard after not being heard, there’s a rush of peace. There’s a rush of happiness,” Rosezewski said. “There’s just a rush of knowing, okay, I can still believe in humanity. That’s good, so thank you.”
The bishop said back in June, the church noticed numerous charges on their debit card the church did not authorize, including a charge for $9,552 and $1,958, plus a slew of charges of $23.88 all to a web hosting company called Go Daddy.
They complained to their bank and Go Daddy but couldn’t get beyond customer service, until Consumer Investigator Shannon Behnken called on their behalf and Go Daddy promised to make this right.
Every penny is back now.
The bishop said his call to Better Call Behnken was a last-ditch effort, a suggestion of one of his parishioners.
“Your speed at receiving our case, our need, was remarkable so thank you for that,” he said.
