PINELLAS PARK, Fla. (WFLA) — Two people were hurt, including a juvenile, after a motorcycle crash Friday night in Pinellas Park, police said.

The crash happened at about 8:30 p.m. in the 8200 block of Highway 19 North. Drivers are asked to avoid the area while the roadway remains closed.

A motorcycle and pickup truck were involved in the crash, according to the Pinellas Park Police Department.

A female driving the motorcycle was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said. A juvenile passenger on the motorcycle was taken to a hospital in what police described as stable condition.

Both people on the motorcycle were wearing helmets. Police did not release their ages.

Additional details are expected to be released on Saturday.
