TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — After beating the Philadelphia Eagles the Tampa Bay Buccaneers now lead the NFC South with a 3-1 record.

“I mean, we had a good first quarter. That’s all it is. The game is four quarters, and now we have three more quarters to go and we’ve got to show up and play like that every quarter,” Bucs head coach Todd Bowles said.

This week looks a little different for the Bucs in terms of how coaches and staff will handle scheduling with only three days of preparation for the Atlanta Falcons.

“Whether we are healthy or not, because of the shortness of the game, they are going to be walk-throughs. From Sunday to Thursday, kind of everybody does that so practice for us, for the most part, Monday and Tuesday will be a walk-through, Wednesday we will move around a little bit more,” Bowles said.

The Bucs say the biggest focus for them is hitting the books and giving their bodies rest, as well as getting the care they need for their bodies.

“Guys have to be pros when it comes to taking care of your body. Obviously, short weeks – everybody [has] to deal with it. There’s no excuse. You have to do all the rehabbing you can. It’s more so studying and understanding the game plan without getting the live reps because you try to rest your body. For us, [we need to] get as physically healthy as we can and then be dialed into the plan just like we were,” quarterback Baker Mayfield said.

This is the first game of the season Tampa Bay is facing a division opponent. They’ll do it in Primetime on Thursday night at Mercedes Benz stadium.

The Atlanta Falcons are coming off a thrilling win over the New Orleans Saints.
